1. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the website, booking system, and services provided by Scooters Punta Cana IAPC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By making a reservation, submitting payment, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Rental Agreement, and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
2. Eligibility
To rent a vehicle, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Present a valid driver’s license
- Present a valid passport
Both documents are mandatory at handoff. No exceptions.
Failure to comply will result in cancellation without refund.
3. Booking & Confirmation
- All bookings are subject to availability and approval
- A reservation is confirmed only after acceptance and processing
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking for operational, safety, or verification reasons
- Customers are responsible for providing accurate information
4. Pricing & Payments
- Prices are listed per day and subject to change until confirmed
- Full payment may be required before or at the time of service
- We accept major credit cards and approved payment methods
- No hidden fees. All applicable charges are disclosed.
5. Security Deposit
A security deposit is required at handoff.
- The deposit will be charged using the same card used for the reservation
- The renter authorizes Scooters Punta Cana to charge this card accordingly
- The deposit is refundable upon return, subject to inspection
We may retain part or all of the deposit for:
- Damage
- Loss or theft
- Late return
- Missing items (helmet, keys, holder, etc.)
- Excessive cleaning
- Breach of terms
The deposit does not limit liability. Additional charges may apply if damages exceed the deposit.
6. Cancellation Policy
- 48+ hours before rental: full refund
- 24–48 hours: partial refund
- Less than 24 hours: no refund
- No-shows: non-refundable
7. Pickup, Handoff & Assisted Service
Rentals are completed through our designated HQ. We may offer assisted pickup and return as a convenience.
Important:
- Assisted pickup is not guaranteed and depends on logistics
- It is not a transportation service or separate contract
- Delays due to traffic, weather, or external conditions are not grounds for refund
Handoff is completed only after:
- Identity verification
- Document approval
- Payment and deposit confirmation
8. Late Return Policy
Vehicles must be returned at the agreed time.
Grace Period:
- Up to 30 minutes, at our discretion.
After that:
- Up to 2 hours late: additional hourly charge may apply
- Beyond 2 hours: full additional rental day charged
Failure to return the vehicle may result in:
- Recovery actions
- Additional charges
- Legal measures
Repeated or excessive delay constitutes breach of agreement.
9. Rental Use & Responsibility
By renting, you agree to:
- Operate the vehicle responsibly
- Follow all traffic laws
- Use the vehicle only for lawful purposes
You assume full responsibility during the rental period.
10. Prohibited Use
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Driving under the influence
- Reckless or dangerous driving
- Unauthorized drivers
- Use outside permitted areas
- Illegal activity
Violation may result in:
- Immediate termination of rental
- Loss of deposit
- Additional charges
11. Damage, Loss & Liability
The renter is responsible for:
- All damage during the rental period
- Theft or loss of the vehicle
- Missing accessories
Basic insurance may be included but does not eliminate liability.
12. Accidents & Incidents
In case of accident or issue:
- You must notify us immediately
- Follow our instructions
Failure to report may increase liability.
13. Assumption of Risk
Scooter use involves inherent risks.
By renting, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree that the Company is not responsible for:
- Accidents
- Injuries
- Road conditions
- Third-party actions
14. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Unauthorized or abusive chargebacks are strictly prohibited.
By booking, you agree that:
- All charges are legitimate and authorized
- Disputes must be handled directly with us first
We reserve the right to:
- Contest chargebacks
- Recover owed amounts
- Deny future service
15. Website Use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the platform
- Submit false information
- Attempt unauthorized access
All website content is property of Scooters Punta Cana.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the booking
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. All disputes shall be handled in the courts of La Altagracia (Bávaro / Punta Cana).
18. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
